Testimonial: Kallangur Library (Photos available) Good morning Lloyd Hornsby, Thank you for the development and delivery of the Intercultural Connect Painting Workshop on Wednesday 6 January 2010. The depth of knowledge you have of your Indigenous Australian culture, including techniques for both traditional and contemporary painting helped the 20 children who attended the workshop develop a more complete understanding of Australian culture. This information, and your ability to provide a presentation that maintained the children's interest, plus the follow up individual attention that was given to each child as they created their own cultural images on canvas, provided the attending children with an opportunity to show their full potential. I would also like to express my gratitude to Wendy Hornsby, Uncle Bill and Aunty Jane Harbour who helped on the day. The ability of the team to adapt the program to meet the needs of the eight to twelve year old children ensured those in attendance were provided with a variety of interesting activities and information sessions throughout the 6 hour workshop. The focus of the children in attendance and the high standard of the finished paintings at the end of the process clearly showed the success of your coordinated approach to the overall event.
