Shirley Mbitjanaa Born in 1955 at Stirling Station Alice Springs is the first child of Lucky.
The Station homestead is situated by the road about 159 miles north of Alice Springs, the turnoff from the Stuart Highway
being approximately 156 miles north of Alice Springs and the Homestead being about 3 miles east of the bitumen at this point.
Stirling Station is in the Barkly Shire, located in the Northern Territory of Australia. The Shire covers an area of 323,514 km's and has a population of approximately 7,531. In July 2008 the Barkly Shire Council incorporated the following existing local government bodies; Tennant Creek Town Council, Elliott District Community Government Council, Aherrenge Association Inc., Ali Curung Council Inc., and Alpurrurulam Community Government Council. By agreement the Council also took responsibility for the Local Government functions of the Urapuntja Council Aboriginal Corp. and a large area of currently unincorporated land that includes the Barkly Tablelands, numerous land trusts and pastoral properties.
